Desert Contemplation

Exhibition with the association 1SensC. The theme was to reinterpret a character design inspired by a video game. It was necessary to recognize the game, but without seeing the original character.

I chose to illustrate Journey from ThatGameCompany. I wanted to take away part of the character's mystery by modifying its tunic so that we could see its face. The scarf became its hair, and arms appeared. I kept some key elements so that we could recognize the game as much as possible: the red costume and its golden patterns, as well as the eyes that pierce in the middle of the face.

The initial shapes of the illustration were made in vector, using Illustrator. The gray levels, the color and then the effects were done in Photoshop.
